Mapping imported contacts
I have 1000's of contacts that I will be importing into Batchbooks and when I go through the import process it doesnt give me an option to map where I want the fields to go. Is it possible to do it manualy?

The import function works well and can be customized quite a bit. You have to open BB and go to the Contacts Tab.On the right under add a contact you will see a link to an import template. This is a csv with all the fields in the headers/name row in it. In the past I have added the header to my existing column of data that best matches my import location. If you create the fields and supertags in BB before you import then this template will have all the new locations in the name row. Bottom Line you can configure it to autopopulate the database pretty easily even if you have manually enter the field data into the incoming .cvs.
Note that the supertags and tags have a standard nomenclature for being accepted by the server. They have some videos that explain it better.

I understand the import template and it definitely servers the purpose, but field mapping would be a desirable import feature if you are regularily importing data. They use this on Zoho CRM (our previous CRM) and it works real well. I was a little dissappointed when moving our contacts and companies from Zoho as it is going to mean a lot of manual header renaming, since we will be bringing in our contacts in small batches.
