Disable hotkeys?
In Firefox, I frequently press CTRL+T to open a new tab. When I'm in batchbook, the 'T' key gets intercepted and takes me to the Calendar page instead of opening a new tab. Is there a way to disable these hotkeys?

Hi MIke,
Interesting, I don't experience that problem and I'm a big shortcut user. The CTRL - should prevent the batchbook shortcut from taking focus.
Do you notice this with any of the other shortcuts in BatchBook or with any other applications.
I do like the idea of disabling or even customizing the shortcuts so I'll bring this up with the team.

Scott, I just played with it a little more. It apparently doesn't happen every time, but I've found a couple ways to reproduce it:
One way to definitely reproduce it is:
1. Click a random Batchbook tab (Deals, Dashboard, whatever)
2. Quickly press and hold CTRL, before the new page loads
3. After the page finally loads, hit T
Another way -- I have CTRL + Fn mapped to switch desktops on my computer, so...
1. Click a random Batchbook tab
2. Switch to workspace 2 and check email or something
3. CTRL+F1 to switch back to workspace 1
4. Without releasing CTRL, hit 'T' to open a tab.
This latter way is probably how I've managed to get burned by this. It's funny to do the work of figuring out how to reproduce this, because it shows me some things that I apparently do unconsciously, like holding CTRL during the above steps 3 and 4.
Whether it applies to other keys: I also tried CTRL+D (bookmark this page), and was able to reproduce it with the same method -- Firefox navigated to the Deals page instead of bookmarking the page.

Thanks Mike for your research and troubleshooting on this. Both scenarios seem to be similar in that the CTRL key being pressed / held before the page loads or is accessed isn't being recognized as a keystroke to prevent the BatchBook shortcut to trigger.
I'll run it past the team in our next feature meeting to see if it is a BatchBook issue or a browser issue, if there is a tech fix or if some sort of customization options could be included.
That is unless asking you to let up on the CTRL key is an option ;-)

Yeah I know what you mean. It's not a major bug at all; just an annoyance. A "disable hotkeys" option would probably be easy, and make me (a non-hotkey user) a happy camper. I wouldn't be surprised if the CTRL issue turned out to be a Firefox problem, and I can see not wanting to spend time investigating it.

You can't stop me from investigating!
I'm not able to reproduce scenario #1 in Firefox 3.6 or in Chrome. What version browser and OS are you on?

I'm using Firefox 3.5.8 on Ubuntu karmic.

well, that is actually going to have to stop my own personal investigating as I don't have that environment to test - seems to either be FF or OS related though as I can't replicate in any browser here.
I'll log your feature request - thanks again for the suggestion.
