I love the Deals function. However, when I click to create a new deal, I always want to add a value and sometimes make other changes. Right now, I have to click Deals and then click again to edit the new deal. I think it would make sense to have a new deal open up in edit mode.

Tru that. Good point. I found it bothersome also.

What if we could input deals like we do communications, where you don't have to leave the contact page ?

Hi Bradford - Interesting observation. I did some sleuthing and I believe this is the case only if you create the deal from a contact. If you enter in a new deal directly from the Deals tab it will open in edit mode where you can access the whole.. deal. I'll bring up with the team and see why it works this way.

Hi Pat - Do you mean like a quick add?

Thanks Pat - we've got a redesign coming soon which should address this. As we added features, we just ran out of room for the Quick Add for other items.

    Stay tuned!

the inclusion of a done or completed field in the deals pending, lost, won, area would be super for me. Also, a monthly recurring date in the super tag would be beneficial as well.

Thanks for your feedback - Both of those are popular requests on our feature request list so I'll add your "yes please" to them. We discuss these regularly so your votes do matter!

Why thank you. We will keep using the lost deal as the done deal (as we don't lose many anyways and we just delete those, but that is kind of squirly if you know what I mean. As far as the monthly I am doing it myself in outlook for the whole company and put it in as an event and that really sucks all the way around since it gives me something extra to do... thanks for all ...you guys do rock!!!

A deal dollar amount would be nice too. Account Managers would like to see their pipeline showing what deals they have in play and what the dollar volume is.

We've got some plans for enhancing the Deals functionality now that it's been out there a bit and we see how folks are using it and what people need. Thanks for all of your suggestions.

Custom deal status will be coming soon. Playing with it today actually. Plan is to get this out sometime in early April along with some better deals stats in the dashboard widget and as well as the sidebar area.
