Thanks,

It would have been nice to see a little more discussion regarding this. I am half way through a three ring circus trying to get the Shared Contacts app by floreysoft to get the job done when I realized it might be functional with Batchbook. If every user takes their contacts in at least one folder from BB, by using the tags to sync contacts it is the same thing as any application on the domain app engine ?

Hi,
I'm trying to get clarification on how the Sync process may work differently with the GAL than it does in standard apps. Sorry for the delay.

I currently have a domain in BB at teristeam.batchbook.com. I would like to
have this account associated with a new GAL domain of firstraterealtors.com.
I have the Batchbook CRM on my dashboard of my domain but have hesitated to
sign on with the domain because I would like the data to transfer. It would
not be the end of the world if I exported from one to the other and lost a
few lists fwiw. Let me know how to proceed to maintain my current data set
with a Google Apps domain log one.
In regards to the shared contacts, I can say that I have installed the
shared contacts app by floreysoft and it is a deep integration, for what I
know of deep, really I am just a Realtor spending too much time on this
stuff. But it is set up to select folders that can be included for sharing
across user on a domain. It would appear that I could put the Batchbook sync
folder inside this program and the propagate that data through designated
users by keeping myself the only user who syncs to BB. Or simply let it rip
and let users add/sync to one universal BB sync group on GAFYD. or .......
Good Luck ladies and gentlemen, who ever said Bronco Riding was difficult,
you all are on what appears to be a Google beast now. The software looks
great and keeps edging out the competition in a lot of head to heads. Good
Luck for the future.

Wow my email reply ended up here in the forums program. I was wondering what he code stringer was, I thought it was for tracking purposes. Is this public?

Just to clarify the benefit to me of having the contact details in the GAL would be that I don't need all contacts belonging to my business appearing in my personal contacts list. Howvere, I would still like to be able to search for them from Gmail contacts or to have their email address automatically appear when composing an email should I need to send them an email.
This would also allow other software to access the same contacts list.
I have also tested that the GAL is searchable from an iPhone even though every contact doesn't automatically appear.
Ultimately, this would allow me to have my personal contacts in my Gmail contacts and on my iPhone being personal and not shared with others in my office.
