How to import multiple employees to the same company without creating duplicate company records
When importing multiple employees from the same company, you want to make sure you set up the import template correctly. Companies don't often have an email associated with them on the import CSV file and the import template's default set up is to search for duplicates by name and email. If you leave it set to this default you'll end up with multiple instances of the company with only one employee attached to it, instead of one company record that list all the employees on it.
You want to set your import screen up to search for duplicates by "Just Name" and resolve duplicates by selecting "Merge". When the system finds a match on the company name, it will merge the companies and list all employees under the same company contact.
